Operations Manager
Looking for experienced Operations Manager to run refrigerated LTL and TL fleet. in OH, KY, IN, WV, MI, and IL.
Software: TMW-TruckMate and PeopleNet
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in transportation, business, or related field required or an amount of job experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree; ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in transportation operations of which five (5) years is in management. Have an in-depth knowledge of training, operations, planning, safety, labor, and some degree of contract law as it relates to the transportation industry. Have a general knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the transportation industry. Excellent communication and presentation skills required. Must possess training in FMCSR, and knowledge of freight distribution principles. Must have experience in operating a data base, spreadsheets, graphics package and word processing software. Previous management transportation experience in food distribution is desired; knowledge of dispatching software a must and routing software and familiarity with load boards a plus.
